NSW Heath Pathology has established a biobank certification program designed to promote adherence to best practices for biobanking. The program has been adapted from the certification program designed and delivered in Canada by the Office of Biobank Education and Research (OBER) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver and the Canadian Tissue Repository Network (CTRNet). Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) templates are available for biobanks undertaking the certification process.
